In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Leaf Awards, plants@work is excited to showcase the exceptional accomplishments in our industry by spotlighting the "Best Projects of the Year" winners. 20 years logo final 2 Over two years, Urban Planters London West has collaborated closely with BP to develop plant schemes for new developments across its sites. These installations now feature more than 300 carefully selected plants across multiple locations, designed to meet both aesthetic and environmental goals.

BP had a clear vision for the project: the plants needed to purify the air, removing toxins emitted by modern office equipment, while also enhancing the overall design and thematic elements of each building. The schemes had to reflect distinct themes, such as ‘high tech’ and ‘natural world,’ ensuring that the plants not only served a practical purpose but also made a bold visual statement.

The results of this collaboration have been highly successful, as confirmed by Johnson Controls, the facility managers for BP. They commented:

“We are proud of the long-standing partnership with Urban Planters, which dates back to 2001. This project is a testament to that successful collaboration. The innovative concepts provided have been outstanding, garnering significant attention and positive feedback from our customers.”
